MCP server for external AI

LOGINventory as a data source for external AI tools.

Let your own AI tools access inventory data.

Via the MCP endpoints (/api/mcp/describe, /api/mcp/execute), external AI tools can access LOGINventory data. Access is API key based; inventory data isn’t exported or mirrored to third-party systems: the AI retrieves it live via the defined endpoints.

That’s useful when your company already runs an AI assistant and you want it to factor inventory data into its answers. The data stays in LOGINventory, the AI assistant queries it as needed.

The integrations page describes the MCP endpoints alongside REST, PowerShell, and CSV.

When LIA pays off

Several ad hoc analyses a day.

“Which devices are over five years old,” “Which servers have outdated antivirus signatures,” “Who has access to share X.” When filtering costs you clicks every time, LIA saves the clicking.

For rare or fixed reports, the saved query node remains the faster path. LIA is a convenience feature, not a replacement for structured reports or compliance reporting.

What LIA isn’t

Honest limits.

Not a standalone model: uses an external cloud language model service.
Not an audit tool: compliance reports run through structured reports.
Not a rights management tool: LIA respects roles but doesn’t change them.
Not a reasoning system: it answers data questions, not “What should I do?” questions.
