A mid-market customer with 8,500 devices used to do CVE matching by hand: read vendor advisories, check them against their own software list, assess them. Just under a full workweek a month, spread across every week. By the time the list was done, it was already out of date again.
The matching now runs daily and automatically against the inventory data, with context-based prioritization. It’s not the number of advisories that’s gone down, but the effort of filtering the relevant ones out of them.

LOGINventory retrieves warranty data directly from many manufacturers, so it already knows the age of every device. Add a replacement value, and the inventory becomes an investment plan: which hardware costs are coming up in which year, grouped by year, device type, department, and location.
