- New AI Integration: Using the new LIA chat assistant (available via the web interface and in the LOGINventory Management Center), you can ask questions about your LOGINventory database (e.g. “Show me my Windows 11 devices!“, “Which Windows devices do not have 7-Zip installed?“, “Which devices belong to Max Mustermann?“) as well as about the manual (e.g. “How do I publish the Web Viewer?“, “How do I retrieve warranty data?“). You can also use the chat to assign properties and lifecycle entries to assets, archive or delete devices, and create queries. More information about the new AI integration can be found here.

- New Web interface facelift and feature enhancements:
- Creation of assets is now available via the web.
- Asset detail page: MAC address table for switches is now visible.
- Dashboards are now visible in the Web Viewer not only as standalone nodes, but also when pinned as a view for a folder.
Tip: By pinning dashboards to the Asset Management node, they are displayed immediately when opening the web console (instead of an empty folder view). - New option to generate dashboard links (without displaying the tree structure) – ideal for sharing with others (provided they have permission to view the dashboard).
- Dark mode available.
- When creating lifecycle entries (including assignment / return), it is now possible to create a new user, e.g. when assigning a device to a person without an AD account.
- Navigation bar.
- Various UI adjustments.
- New Manual creation of users is now possible via the LOGINventory Management Center and the web: e.g. when devices need to be assigned to external persons who do not have an AD account. More details here.
- New Remote Scanner with full Kerberos support:
By default, Negotiate is now used instead of NTLM for scanning Windows devices. However, since only NTLM can be used when connecting to an IP address, the remote scan now attempts by default to determine the corresponding FQDN during an IP scan and establish a Kerberos connection to it. This is only possible if there are no incorrect or conflicting entries in DNS. If the FQDN resolution fails, the IP address is still used as a fallback, which, however, results in an NTLM connection.
The conversion of the IP address to an FQDN can be prevented using the command line parameter//DontResolveIpToFqdn 1. Additionally, the fallback to NTLM can be blocked using the command line parameter//BlockNTLM 1.
The parameters//Authentication Kerberosand//Authentication NTLMintroduced with version 2025.2 should no longer be used, as they only cover part of the new authentication process and therefore no longer lead to the expected result.
More information on this topic can be found in the corresponding German knowledge base article. - New Tree structure synchronization & reload: When multiple users are working with LOGINventory, it is no longer necessary to restart LOGINventory completely to see changes to queries / folders in the tree structure. Instead, you can simply reload the relevant part of the tree (or the entire tree) via the right-click menu.
- New Topology: Instead of the logical port number, the interface type can now be displayed as the label of connections. This is particularly helpful for stacked switches.
- New Settings: New option to disable the initial assignment of the owner of a device during the first scan.
- New Mail sending via tasks: It is now possible to specify multiple recipients.
- Various new icons in the resource repository to be used as icons for queries.
- Dashboard editor: Full support for custom properties. When using custom properties in the dashboard editor, errors no longer occur, and the preview already shows how the data will be displayed.
- High DPI mode (screen zoom > 100%): If no other column widths are defined, all columns are set to “Optimal column width”.
- Dashboards: Dashboards “pinned as a view” are now displayed with priority over information pages in the Management Center. This allows standard info pages (e.g. on the “Asset Management” node) to be replaced with a dashboard.
- Switch scanning via SNMP: Improvements in determining the MAC address table, VLANs, and processing LLDP information.
- ESXi scanning: When retrieving VM information, the operating system name for running VMs is now determined using the value provided by VMware Tools. Previously, the manually adjustable value from the VMware console was always used.
- SQL Server: Improved version detection.
- Linux scanning:
- Further improvements in detecting the name and VRAM of installed graphics cards.
- Error handling for UUID2 detection improved.
- Info widget: Fixed refresh issue with asset description text.
- Data cleanup: Increased reliability when applying configuration changes.
- “Create filtered query” function now explicitly selects columns instead of only the base table.
- Setup now includes SQL Server 2025 Express Edition (instead of 2019).
- AD scanning: Improved reliability in determining group memberships.
- Web Viewer: UTC time conversion is now always correct.
- Deleting assets: If the setting “Restrict asset deletion to administrators” is enabled, it is no longer possible for main users to delete assets via the “Remove” action using right-click in the tree structure.
- License management: “Detected products” now also include Visual Studio version 2026 and SQL Server version 2025.
- Fixed an issue that caused duplicate entries in “HardwareProduct” (e.g. when converting monitor information into peripheral devices). Please refer to this German helpdesk article, which explains how to check whether duplicates exist in your database and what you can do to resolve the issue.
- Security improvements for agentless scanning.
