Build 9.11.3.20501 (Released on August 11, 2026):

• New Windows remote scan now also via WinRM for hardened environments in which DCOM/RPC (port 135 and the dynamic port range) or SMB (port 445) are blocked, or NTLM is prohibited.
  • New switch //UseWinRM with four levels: automatic (default, DCOM as before), WinRM preferred with DCOM fallback, WinRM only without any DCOM, RPC or SMB attempt, and DCOM only.
  • In WinRM mode, WMI and registry queries run via the MI interface, and the remote scan runs directly through the WinRM shell without an SMB share. LOGINfo.exe is stored in a protected directory on the target device for this purpose and is only transferred again when a new version is available.
  • HTTPS is supported: //WinRmUseHttps 1 connects via port 5986, //WinRmPort allows different ports, and //WinRmSkipCertCheck disables the certificate check if required.
  • An active WinRM listener on the target device (port 5985 or 5986) is required. All details can be found in the new manual chapter Remote Scan with WinRM
  • Nothing changes for existing installations: without the new switches, the previous DCOM procedure remains in place.
• Breaking Change LastInventory.Method:
  New values are reported for Windows devices, for example “DCOM (Kerberos)” instead of “RPC (Kerberos)”. Custom queries and filters that check for the previous values have to be adjusted. Details can be found in the new manual chapter Acquisition Method of an Asset.
• New Linux / macOS inventory: significantly expanded scope of the collected values:
  • New entities (analogous to the Windows inventory): services (ServiceInfo), Bios, Mainboard, scheduled tasks (ScheduledTask), Bootlog, user logons (UserLogon), user sessions (UserSession), network connections (NetworkConnection), Firewall, partition encryption (PartitionEncryption), batteries (BatteryInfo), TrustedPlatformModule.
  • Additional values: drives (DriveInfo) (SMART data), operating system (OperatingSystem) (UpdatesPending, RebootPending, InstallDate, Architecture, Language,…), DeviceInfo (AssetTag, LocalTime, MemorySlots, MaxMemorySize), SoftwarePackage (Snap + Flatpak; new sources apk (Alpine) and pacman (Arch) including distro detection).
  • The scope of the Offline Agent has been aligned with the remote scan (local user accounts, local security groups, shares and routing tables were missing until now).
  • LastInventory.Method: different values for the type of inventory: “Local”, “OfflineAgent”, “SSH (Key)”, “SSH (Password)”.
  • inv files are now encrypted for the Offline Agent as well.
  • If an inv file could not be transferred, the Offline Agent keeps it in /var/spool/loginfox and transfers it with the next run.
  • Various bug fixes.
• LIA (AI Assistant):
  • Now officially available and no longer in beta mode.
  • Improvements for queries involving user names and for the use of certain comparison operators.
• Web Viewer: considerable performance improvements when images are stored for a large number of assets.
• On-prem Exchange Server: edition detection works reliably for remote scans again.
• Editing the custom properties of several devices at the same time no longer clears the “CustomType” property.
• Reading AppPackages: improved reliability.
• License Management:
  • Improvements in the calculation of potential savings.
  • Improved reliability when using “Additional Consumer Sources”.
• Query Editor: filter conditions ending with the “$” character are permitted again.
