Management of Peripheral Devices & Label Printing New with 9.2<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Since version 9.2, LOGINventory has been extended with peripheral device management<\/strong><\/a>. This means that peripheral devices such as headsets, docking stations, monitors, etc.<\/strong> can be created and managed as devices in LOGINventory via the asset editor. Labels with QR codes can be printed<\/strong> for all devices – regardless of whether they are peripheral devices or scanned assets. By scanning the QR code, you land on a mobile website that displays all the details of the device. Likewise, the handover (issue \/ return) of the device to a user<\/strong> can be digitally documented here (including signature on the smartphone). This way, you always know which user received which device and when – and all this without having to maintain Excel lists.<\/p>\n

The new Query Editor<\/a> makes it much faster, easier and more convenient than ever before to create your own evaluations. Frequently used terms<\/strong> are at the top, a new Smart Search<\/strong> and a design concept<\/strong> that has been improved from the ground up allow you to create the evaluations you really need, even if you have rarely created your own queries before. Various templates<\/strong> are available in the editor itself, and of course you can also create your own. This means that you no longer have to manage passwords in other systems, but can store boot passwords<\/strong>, local admin passwords<\/strong>, etc. directly on the assets<\/strong> themselves. All data is encrypted using a master password<\/strong>, can be categorized, expiration data can be stored, new secure passwords can be generated, and much more.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

The graphical representation of network connections<\/a> has been redesigned from the ground up in LOGINventory9 and now offers innovations that are not yet available in any other topology tool: Highlighting changes<\/strong> from previous states, the ability to “live” select which types of devices<\/strong> are displayed in the topology, or having the description texts<\/strong> of the elements dynamically generated<\/strong> by fields from the database are just some of the new features. Online Readout of Warranty Information<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

For many well-known hardware manufacturers<\/strong> such as HP, Lenovo, Dell, Fujitsu or IBM, it is possible with LOGINventory9 to query maintenance or warranty information<\/a> online<\/strong> and make it available in LOGINventory for queries and evaluations. This allows you to see at a glance which devices have valid maintenance<\/strong>, where it is about to expire or has already expired.
